WBI SCHOOL SPIRIT IN FULL FORCE AT PECHANGA

WBI Pechanga Competitors

WBI was in full force at the Supercuts Challenge at Pechanga Casino on May 23rd in support of Marcie and Luis, our contestants from Panorama City and Lancaster.

WBI won two cash  prizes for first place and second for the most attendees, by cheering our contestants on, WBI showed how it is possible to win by just showing up!

Over a hundred WBI students and supporters  filled the center section, partied, and dreamed of their chance to be on that stage next year.

WBI’s  beauty school lovely Marcie won an Honorable Mention trophy for her styling of Aricely as rocker PINK.

Keeping her cool onstage, smiling and dancing as she cut, it is clear that Marcie loves doing hair, and has a great future ahead.

Luis kept smiling as his fans screamed his name and cheered him on.

This was a particularly tough year, with more than 30 hair stylists and students competing for top honors, and many diverse styles featured in the celeb look alike contest.

Musical artists were the trend as KISS, Pink, Vanilla Ice,  Madonna, Shakira, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Barbra Streisand, and  a slew of other awesome wanna-bes crowded the stage with amazing and sometimes astonishing hair.  The judges had a very hard time to decide, and even required extra time to arrive at their decision, raising the suspense.

In the end, it was a tug between clean, modern styling that relied on rich color and skilful cut [ WBI and Lancaster School of Beauty] and sculpted fantasy looks that relied on product and skillful manipulation Marinello].

Back in Panorama and Lancaster, WBI is already preparing for next year, and we intend to win!
